Date: October 1-2, 2026
Location: Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (Spain)
The Universidad Rey Juan Carlos will host the upcoming EULiST Matchmaking Event on October 1st and 2nd, 2026. This event is designed with a dual objective:
- To bring researchers together to exchange ideas and perspectives on shared sustainability challenges.
- To develop concrete project proposals for upcoming funding calls.
Funding Opportunities and Thematic Areas
The event will focus on targeted calls within the Erasmus+ (CBHE, KA2/3, WIDERA), Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, and Horizon Europe (Cluster 5 and Cluster 6) programs. The core thematic areas are centered around sustainability:
- Circular Systems & Environment
- Water & Food Security
- Climate & Soil Adaptation
- Energy & Transport
Note: These themes are not strictly limiting. Innovative proposals on other topics are highly welcome, and researchers are encouraged to apply as speakers.
Program Structure The event will feature three dedicated sessions targeting researchers, institutions/national agencies, and companies/municipalities. Each session will include a roundtable discussion, followed by proposal pitch sessions and open debates. A dedicated networking space will also be available to facilitate interactions between speakers and attendees.
