SPACERAISE – International Summer School for Space Studies and Interdisciplinary Applications

May 4–22, 2026 – L’Aquila (Italy)

SPACERAISE is an intensive international training program focused on advanced scientific and technological topics for the new generation of space researchers and practitioners. The school offers the opportunity to acquire specialized skills in Robotics, Artificial Intelligence for Space, and geospatial data and quantitative analysis in Social Science, with a strong interdisciplinary orientation.

SPACERAISE aims to equip participants with high-level expertise responding to the evolving needs of the space sector, combining foundational research, hands-on insights from international experts, and concrete industrial applications.

The 2026 edition consists of three thematic weeks:

  • Week 1: Robotics for SpaceMonday, May 4 – Friday, May 8
  • Week 2: Artificial Intelligence for SpaceMonday, May 11 – Friday, May 15
  • Week 3: Geospatial Data and Quantitative Analysis in Social ScienceMonday, May 18 – Friday, May 22

Participants may enroll in the full program or select individual weeks. Attendance of even a single module grants the official SPACERAISE Certificate of Participation.

The school is primarily aimed at Master’s students, PhD students, researchers, and professionals working in the space domain or in fields closely related to space software engineering and space-enabled applications. SPACERAISE helps young researchers prepare for advanced scientific careers in the rapidly evolving space ecosystem.

Lectures cover state-of-the-art research, real-world challenges, and future trends in space robotics, AI-driven space systems, and the critical role of geospatial data in scientific and societal analysis.

The instructors include highly accomplished researchers and practitioners from leading institutions across Europe and beyond. The 2026 agenda will also feature guest speakers from major space agencies and organizations.

Thanks to the support of sponsors, SPACERAISE is offered with no registration fees and provides merit-based scholarships to ensure accessibility for all motivated participants.
